In addition to our required curriculum review, the 2009 recertification will provide an overview of the Functional Analysis component of the Assessment and Behavior Support Planning process that was added in 2008.  Participants will have the opportunity to assess and improve their competence in teaching and evaluating trainee physical skills during tow small group presentation activities.  The results of the annual survey on SCM interventions will be presented as will a section of material on functional assessment, behavior support planning, and data analysis.

As a SCM Instructor, you are required to attend an Annual Recertification Training Program to retain your instructor status.  Instructors will be required to pass a written test on the major concepts.  Participants should prepare by reviewing the SCM Instructor's Manual thoroughly.  In addition, participants must successfully demonstrate proficiency in all physical skills.  Completion of this required program provides instructors and their organization with a recognized professional status.
