SCM INSTRUCTOR RECERTIFICATION
(2-day Workshop)
The 2012 SCM Instructor Recertification training is an annual requirement for SCM Instructors. This requirement is consistent with standards of the professional community, as well as, regulatory guidelines promulgated by governing authorities.
The 2012 Recertification training program is designed not only to meet the mandate for professional skill review, but also to increase trainer knowledge and delivery skills. This year, the agenda will include traditional sections in which SCM knowledge and skill is tested physical intervention skills are demonstrated. In addition, the agenda will focus on the delivery of staff refresher training. Participants will be provided with a guideline for this training and will have opportunity for peer reviewed presentations.
Other agenda items include a review of SCM Testing Data, the results of the Physical Skills Video research project and information on the use of Trauma Informed Care structure (SAFE Group). The program will be highly interactive with skill development as its central focus.
